All nominations to be forwarded to the Returning Officer
Forms can submitted by the following methods: to the Dogs ACT office in person, to the Dogs ACT Admin email^^,
or by post to PO Box 815 DICKSON ACT 2602
Must be received by the office no later than: 7pm on the 2nd September 2025
^^ all forms emailed in must be physically signed by all parties on the form, not by electronic signature.
New Members
Applications for new membership received after COB Tuesday 13 August 2025 will not be processed before the AGM and therefore those applicants will not be eligible to attend and/or vote at the AGM.
Membership due for Renewal
- Applications for renewal of membership will close as at COB 2 September 2025 and re-open on 16 September 2025. This is to enable the processing of renewals and the timely preparation of the list of eligible members for the AGM.
- Members whose renewal falls in August 2025 or earlier, that have not lodged and paid for that renewal prior to COB 2 September 2025 will NOT be eligible to attend and/or vote at the AGM.
- Members whose renewal falls within September 2025 and later will remain eligible to attend and vote at the AGM.

Notice of agenda items for AGM’s must be submitted 50 days before the determined date of the meeting. Thus any items for the agenda must be received by 7pm on the 28th July 2025.

50 – Council— opening of nominations and nominating members for election
50.1 – The following Council member positions will open to nominations of candidates for election or re-election, 28 days before the annual general meeting – 19th August 2025:
(a) the president;
(b) the treasurer; and
(c) four of eight Ordinary Council Member
50.6 – A nomination of a Voting Member must—
(a) be in writing; and Rules of Dogs ACT Incorporated Page 21
(b) be signed by 2 other Voting Members; and
(c) include the written consent of the nominated Voting Member; and
(d) specify the Council member position which the nomination is for; and
(e) be given to the Administrator by not later than 14 days after the day the notice under subrule 50.1 is given – 7 pm on the 2nd September 2025.
Our office will be operating for extended hours on the 2nd September 2025 till 6pm for AGM Nomination Submissions only.
