2026 Endurance Trial Judges Course

Dogs ACT is offering a course for aspirant Endurance Trial Judges.  The course will commence April.  Aspirants must be approved by the Dogs ACT Council.  There is a course fee of $65.00 which must be enclosed with the application form.

The standard qualifications are that each aspirant must:

  • have been a Member of either Dogs ACT or another Controlling Body for at least three (3) years and be a current Dogs ACT member
  • be at least 18 years of age
  • be resident in the ACT
  • have personally trained and trialled a dog to its’ Endurance title
  • be medically fit and capable of undertaking the judging

Applications must be made on the required application form which must have been received at Dogs ACT by 27 March 2026. 

All requirements for an Endurance Judges Licence must be fulfilled prior to the aspirant undertaking the Oral or Written examination for which the pass mark is 80%.  The applicant must pass the Oral or Written Test in order to undertake the practical exam.  The ANKC Member body has the right to seek verification of any information provided by the applicant.

At the time of submitting the application, applicants are required to understand and sign the following disclosure:

“I am physically fit and capable of judging in accordance with the Rules and if required I am prepared to undergo a medical fitness test and/or vision test at the discretion of the Member Body of ANKC Ltd.  I further accept that my Member Body may at its absolute discretion refuse to grant any renewal or licence and may cancel or suspend for any period or vary in any way any licence already granted or to be granted”

Aspirants must attend all lectures and practical training sessions, which includes assisting in the conduct of the Endurance Test conducted on 24 May 2026, unless otherwise approved by Dogs ACT.  They will also be required to educate themselves by being conversant with Dogs ACT Rules and Regulations relevant to Endurance Test and the Rules for the Conduct of Endurance Test.  The timetable for the training session will be flexible to accommodate trainees and instructors schedules.

As Aspirants will be assisting in the conduct of the Dogs ACT Endurance Test on 24 May 2026, they will not be permitted to handle a dog at the ET, but dogs owned by them may compete if handled by someone else.
