2026 SprintDog Judges Training

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE 2026 SprintDog Judges  Course

A course for aspirant SprintDog Judges Course will be run in 2026 by Dogs ACT.

Applications for a place on these courses should be submitted to Dogs ACT by close of business on Friday, 27th March 2026, on the approved application form which can be downloaded from links below or obtained from the Dogs ACT Office during advertised opening hours.

SprintDog Judges Training

To be eligible to enter the Program the applicant must:

  • have been a member of the ANKC Ltd Member Body for a total period of not less than three [3] years, but dispensation may be given for persons with sufficient experience in this discipline.
  • be over 18 years of age;
  • be approved by the Member Body.

A course fee of $65 applies and is payable when the application form is submitted to Dogs ACT.

Completed applications are to be emailed to admin@dogsACT.org.au or delivered to the office.

All requirements for a SprintDog™ Judges Licence must be fulfilled prior to the aspirant undertaking the Oral or Written examination for which the pass mark is 80%. The applicant must pass the Oral or Written Test in order to undertake the practical assessment. The ANKC Member body has the right to seek verification of any information provided by the applicant.

Aspirants must attend all lectures and practical training sessions, which includes assisting in running of SprintDog™ Trials conducted in the ACT. They will also be required to educate themselves by being conversant with Dogs ACT Rules and Regulations relevant to the Conduct of Trials. The timetable for the training session will be flexible to accommodate trainees and instructors schedules.

Note: Dogs ACT may, at its absolute discretion, refuse to accept an application from a person who meets the above criteria if it considers that the person is not otherwise suitable to be approved as a judge. Aspirants not admitted to the course will receive a full refund.
